Lesley Talpin, co-chair of the Education Committee, sent out this update on the event:

Tomorrow, Thursday December 6th, will be Project Homeless Connect Day, a national event that brings those in need together with all the social service providers in their community. In Los Angeles this event will be taking place on 6th Street, between Wall and San Pedro, from 10 AM until 3 PM.

Once again, the DLANC Education Committee will be distributing free used books to those in attendance. We have assembled a wonderful collection of books, thanks to the generous donations from the Los Angeles Central Library and the Little Tokyo Library, with topics ranging from history, health, children’s literature, dictionaries, novels, crafts, and more. The DLANC booth will be at the corner of 6th and San Julian.

If you know of anyone in need of social service provider services, please let them know about this event and this unique opportunity to receive free books of their choosing.
